Hard to believe that a Bill Parcells coached team has allowed 105 points in three games, but, hey, meet the 1994 New England Patriots. Consider that in 1986, it took teams eight games to score 110 points on Parcells’ Giants’ defense and the Giants surrendered 31 points to Dallas on opening day that season. The assault on the Patriots’ defense is especially surprising considering the team went out and spent $15 million on its secondary in the off season, signing free agents Ricky Reynolds (Tampa Bay) and Myron Guyton (New York Giants), and re signing Maurice Hurst.
