Moore graduated from Baylor in 1976, where he was an All City pick and played in the Tennessee High School All Star Game his senior year. An outstanding student, Moore was salutatorian of his class and a National Merit Scholar. He started every game of his four year career on the Wooster College football team where he was a three time Academic All American as well as an All Conference player, and was twice named Outstanding Lineman in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
